Two Together

Zephaniah 3:17

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.”

People must endure different kinds of hardship throughout the earth.  There are wars in various places, destructive weather events, financial stresses, health issues, relationship breakdowns, and the list goes on.  I have had to sort through difficult things; I’m sure you have too.   

When sin entered in due to Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the garden, God’s perfect creation was very negatively impacted, each person also inheriting a fallen nature.  Satan, God’s enemy, causes havoc, but only as God permits in His wisdom.  And those who refuse to acknowledge God are snared by many things.

However, the Lord delights to bless, protect and guide those who are His.  Even His angels are ministering spirits for the heirs of salvation.  But sometimes, even God’s born again children give in and sin, or make mistakes that are costly.  God is willing to forgive, and works all things together for their good.    

Those who keep faith in God, and depend on Him are secure.  He is close to those who call upon Him sincerely.  When they feel weak, He remains strong.  Nothing raging around can touch them, unless their Father allows a measure for their growth or for the benefit of others.  God also vindicates those who suffer for His sake at the hands of others.  They will not be ashamed.

God’s reputation stands fast, because He always moves in love and truth.  His children who keep trusting Him come through as gold.

Do you want God’s blessing and help through life’s trials?  Give Him your whole life in earnest, pray, and rest in His mighty hand!
