We cannot grow in God or be used by Him without His grace.  As We draw near to God, He draws near to us.  Then, in God’s faithfulness, much can happen! 

God is perfect love (1 John 4:16).  That is the essence of His being.  In love, He created us in His image, so we could have a genuine love relationship with Him.             

In God’s Creation, the intricate design and interrelatedness showed His love for us.  The earth supported every living thing, but all depended on God.  People were to have dominion over the earth.            

The heavens and the earth God first created were ‘very good’.  He gave the people, made in His image, a beautiful and abundant environment to live in.  God is love, and very generous.  Great suffering has filled the world since though, following Adam and Eve’s sin.  Yet in His goodness and mercy, the Lord sent His only Son Jesus to redeem all.  At the end, the new heaven and new earth will be glorious!           

There are fires, lightning, floods, storms and other destructive things on this earth.  But there is one thing much more destructive, and that is sin.

The Bible states that the Lord God is light.  He is perfect and complete in Himself: holy.  The fullness in Him means that there is no imperfection or inadequacy in Him at all.  God reigns supreme, far above His created beings.  Every good thing ultimately comes from Him.

Do you feel weary, unimportant or misunderstood?  Some see others as weak or foolish, but God may see them as the most wise and trusted, when they depend on Him.

The Lord God is the Creator of heaven and earth.  Maybe you have travelled to see His handiwork such as the brilliant colours of the aurora borealis nightlights, giant sequoia trees, Grand Canyon in Arizona or Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil.  God’s Creation displays His power and glory.
