God Loves You

John 3:14-18

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

When a child is born, the parents rejoice and have plans toward the future to care for and help their child grow, mature and become all they can be.  Likewise, when the Lord God created the heavens and the earth, can you imagine the tremendous plans He had?  You can read about His creation in Genesis, Chapter 1.

Unfortunately, Adam and Eve disobeyed their Maker, their Father, and greatly suffered for it (see Genesis 2,3).  The world has never been the same since; poverty, war, disease, deception etc.

God is love, and we are the central objects of His love.  He makes each one with a special plan in mind, which would both glorify Him and fulfil us.  The Lord’s intense desire is to free, heal and restore us into a true relationship with Himself.  The Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to show us who God actually is, destroy the works of His enemy the devil, and make a way to redeem us out of sin and back to Him.  God draws us, and those who respond, believing and turning from their wrong, can receive the Holy Spirit within to transform their lives.

Those committed to God become one with Him, and He then will help them grow to be like Him and live in love as He does.  The Lord must free us from all evil, renew our minds into genuine truth, and guide us in every part of life.  God is a consuming fire, and His love must make us right, bring us close to Him, and loving towards others.  His children must always abide in His love.

The costly death of Jesus, paying the penalty of our sin, won everything for us, even into eternity.  Everything is fully covered!

Through Jesus God calls, changes, then builds us.  Have you responded?
